Facility Profile:

Located on State Route 7 south of the city of Marietta, OH, the plant has been in operation since 1955. The plant has 10 lines to produce polystyrene using Chevron Phillips Chemical’s proprietary low-volatility, high-heat crystal polystyrene technology.  A research and technology center supporting the polystyrene product line is located adjacent to the production facility.  This site also includes a pilot plant, a technical laboratory and fabrication area.  The facility became an Americas Styrenics asset in May 2008.

Polystyrene - High Impact (HIPS) and Crystal

A resin primarily used in insulation products, food and drink packaging, CDs, and cassettes. Our high impact polystyrene is used in a wide range of electronics, toys, disposable plates and flatware, medical equipment, and appliance applications.
