Americas Styrenics parent companies have been in the styrenics business for more than 70 years having produced their first batch of polystyrene in 1937. Since that time, the company has developed a number of innovative product modifications as well as several new styrenic resins and polymers.

During the 1980s, Valtra advanced styrenic polymers were introduced to the market as high gloss, high impact and economic alternatives to acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS).  

Most recently, STYRON A-TECH™ advanced performance polystyrene resins were introduced to the market to meet the demand for specialized performance, aesthetic appeal and value.

Today, we continue to push boundaries. We have developed landmark products in all our offerings, like our high impact polystyrene (HIPS), which is known for its ease of use in printing applications. As we look toward the future, we know our talented team of researchers, scientists and engineers will continue to make discoveries and breakthroughs that will impact the future for many years to come.
